About the Author

Pat Hammer is a retired science teacher based in Louisville, Kentucky. Pat worked for 27 years teaching chemistry to 8th graders before she transitioned to her new passion project--STEM. Pat spent 5 years teaching STEM to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to develop an educational, creative and fun STEM curriculum. What sparked her interest was seeing the creativity that her students gave to their science projects. Notably, Pat is a recipient of the Amgen Science Teaching Excellence Award. She loves all things science and strives to create an environment where children can learn and have fun at the same time.
